The executive director of the Public Enterprise for the Management of Maritime Assets, Mladen Mikijelj, welcomed the Government's decision to assign the Port of Budva to that public enterprise for management.
"At yesterday's session of the Government of Montenegro, the Conclusion was invalidated, which gave consent to give the Port of Budva the use of the Municipality of Budva, which returned the Port of Budva to the management of the Maritime Reserve. When making such a decision, one of the reasons for the Government was that the Municipality failed to take over the Port for almost a year, and that it had guaranteed that it would be done peacefully through an agreement with the previous user of Dukley Marina," said Mikijelj.
He welcomed this decision of the Government of Montenegro.
"We inform the public that we are ready to undertake all activities so that the Port of Budva will function as soon as possible to the satisfaction of the city and citizens of Budva, as well as all tourists, and that finally this decades-long injustice will be corrected, for which we fought all the previous years, and which we have been actively working on since 2021", concluded Mikijelj.
