The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, within the framework of the Agrobudget, announced a public call for special support for wine for this year.
Beneficiaries of support for the component of conversion and restructuring of vineyards and for green harvesting are agricultural holdings registered in the Winery File of the Winery Register in accordance with the laws on wine and on the regulation of the market of agricultural products.
Beneficiaries of support for the wine promotion component are winegrowers' associations and other sectoral associations representing wine producers.
Eligible activities and investments are variety conversion, restructuring of vineyards, green harvesting and promotion of Montenegrin wines and expansion of wine culture.
The amount of support for variety conversion activities is calculated per uprooted scion and planted scion.
The amount of ten euros per plant covers the loss of yield in the juvenile stage. Support for the purchase of vine cuttings amounts to 50 percent of the purchase price. The maximum amount of support for conversion is up to ten thousand euros per request.
The amount of support for vineyard restructuring activities is up to 50 percent of the total eligible costs, but not more than ten thousand euros per request.
The amount of support for green harvesting is calculated on the basis of supporting documentation submitted by the applicant, and amounts to up to 50 percent of the estimated loss of income, but not more than four thousand euros per hectare, or one euro per bush, and all not more than ten hijads euros upon request.
The amount of support for the promotion of wine and the spread of wine culture is calculated on the basis of the supporting documentation submitted by the applicant, and is up to 50 percent of the total eligible costs from the Wine Promotion Program, but not more than five thousand euros per request.
Requests for support are submitted on forms that are an integral part of the public call.
The deadline for submission of requests for approval of proposed activities by public invitation is May 1 of this year.
The deadline for submission of requests for approval of the payment of support funds for the green harvest activity is August 1, and for all other activities by public invitation it is November 30.
