Drašković acting until the election of the executive director of the Airport of Montenegro

Until the election of the executive director of Montenegro Airport at the international competition announced today, the acting director will be Vladan Drašković, the Board of Directors unanimously decided.

This was announced by the Airport of Montenegro.

"Petar Radulović, who until now was the acting executive director, remains in the position of deputy executive director of the Airports of Montenegro. The board of directors believes that, at this moment, the most important thing is that the airports of Montenegro function efficiently and stably during the summer season, among other things, and considering the increase in the number of passengers compared to 2019," the announcement states.

The Airport of Montenegro added that from January 1 to April 7, 2024, they served over 360 passengers, which they said was 27 percent more than the same period in 2019.

"According to announcements, Podgorica Airport will be connected with more than 40 destinations during the summer season, and Tivat Airport with around 40 of them," the announcement concludes.

The Board of Directors of Aerodrom Montenegro dismissed Drašković from the position of executive director on March 27.

The President of the Board of Directors of the Airport of Montenegro, Eldin Dobardžić, announced at the time that Drašković was dismissed "due to a series of serious omissions, including violation of the Statute".

"Drašković on his own initiative approved the payment of 551 thousand euros for the purchase of part of the airport equipment without the consent of the Board of Directors, and the Statute clearly states that the executive director disposes of funds in the amount of up to 100 thousand euros, while for the amount of more than 100 thousand euros he needs the consent of the Board of Directors. In addition, given that there is now talk of money that "disappeared" or was "frozen" along the way, and that the police are involved in the case, I now publicly ask Mr. Drašković where the 551 thousand euros are? In whose account is the money? "When will it be returned to the airports of Montenegro?", announced Dobardžić at the time.

On March 28, Drašković responded to Dobardžić's accusations, saying that the money mentioned - did not disappear.

According to information from Crnogorska komercijal banka, as Drašković said then, the entire amount is in the National Westminster Bank in London, on a blocked account, and will, as he said, be returned after the ongoing procedure.

"The valid Statute has been in force since September 04.09.2021, 12. Dobardžić and Đoković were members of the Board of Directors then as they are today, and for the entire period there were a total of 100 public procurement procedures worth over 28 thousand euros, of which eight were realized. One consent was obtained for all procedures," Drašković announced on March XNUMX.
