At the meeting of the Local Montenegrin-Ukrainian Commission, the delegations reached an agreement on the complete liberalization of cargo transportation between the two countries, which includes that bilateral, transit cargo transportation and transportation to/from a third country will be exempted from the use of permits starting June 1.
The meeting of the Mixed Montenegrin-Ukrainian Commission on the International Transportation of Passengers and Cargo in Road Traffic was held the past two days at the invitation of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro (MSP).
The meeting was organized in order to consider all issues in the field of international road transport of common interest to both countries.
"In passenger transport, it was established that 50 permits for off-line occasional passenger transport in road traffic are exchanged on an annual basis, and an agreement was reached to additionally exchange 30 permits for alternate passenger transport in the following period," the announcement states.
The delegations agreed that they will mutually recognize the certificates of initial professional competence of drivers, accelerated initial professional competence and periodic professional competence, issued in both countries.
The Montenegrin delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, while the Ukrainian delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure and the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro.
