The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management (MAŠV) has announced several public calls for support to agricultural producers within this year's Agricultural Budget.
The Ministry published on its website public invitations for the introduction, certification and re-certification of the quality and food safety system, as well as for the allocation of funds to support investments in the adaptation of mountain huts.
In the fisheries sector, calls for support to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of the freshwater aquaculture and mariculture sector, as well as for the submission of requests for direct payments in those areas, have been published.
Incentive funds are also allocated for the modernization of the professional fishing fleet in small and large commercial fishing, as well as for the catch of pelagic and demersal resources, using trawl fishing gear.
Farmers can also apply for public calls for selection of control and certification bodies for organic production and quality schemes, as well as for the allocation of support funds for reaching animal welfare standards in livestock farming.
Funds are also allocated to support waste management in livestock production, as well as for the purchase of purebred breeding cows. A public call for support for the introduction of innovations in the agricultural sector was also published.
In the beekeeping sector, public calls for the selection of queen bee breeders have been published. In addition, incentive funds are also allocated for the purchase of wax for organic and conventional honey production, as well as beekeeping equipment for the transport of bee colonies.
Farmers can also apply for the allocation of support funds for the purchase of beehives, beehive parts, beekeeping accessories and equipment, and electric fences (shepherds).
A public call for suppliers interested in participating in the Program for the free distribution of fruits, vegetables, milk and dairy products in schools for the 2023/2024 school year has also been published.
