Accurate and reliable statistical data are essential for obtaining a realistic picture of economic trends, movements and needs, in order to be able to plan decisions, measures and policies that affect all aspects of society and the economy, it was concluded today at the meeting of the general secretary of the Union of Employers of Montenegro Suzana Radulović and director of the Directorate for Statistics (Monstat) Miroslav Pejović, stated in the announcement of the UPCG.
It is added that the signing of the Memorandum, which will be the framework for further cooperation between these two institutions, has also been agreed upon.
During the meeting, they discussed the importance of each individual business entity and their results in order to continuously monitor economic indicators and trends, as the only measure that can provide a representation of the real situation and give an accurate insight into the growth and development of our economy, the Union of Employers announced.
"Such an approach is especially expected from the creators of policies, plans, strategic and other documents, who in those processes must be guided by official statistical data. However, in practice it happens that, due to the lack or incompleteness of data, imprecise analyzes are created that can influence the adoption of wrong decisions. decisions. It was assessed that accurate and reliable statistical data are essential for obtaining a realistic picture of economic trends, movements and needs, in order to be able to plan decisions, measures and policies that affect all aspects of society and the economy", it is stated in announcement.
The Union of Employers said that the participants also spoke about numerous problems in the business of businessmen, highlighting numerous business barriers and administrative burdens, as well as the current process of digitalization of public administration and the need to connect all registers in the system and their access for the needs of Monstat.
"After a constructive discussion, the participants announced their readiness to specify in further communication the details of future joint activities that UPCG and Monstat will implement in the form of educational forums and informative events for businessmen," the statement added.
In front of Monstat, the event was attended by Assistant Director for the Sector of Macroeconomic Statistics, National Accounts and Prices Branka Šušić-Radovanović, while the participants in front of UPCG were the President of the Assembly Slaviša Šćekić, member of the Executive Board Danko Obradović, as well as Marina Jovanović, advisor for marketing and education and member of the Monstat Council.
