Tivat Airport is still far from the record from 2019: In March, slightly more than 19 thousand passengers

A total of 19.143 passengers passed through the terminal building of Tivat airport last month, which is 0,8 percent more than in March last year.

This is 71,3 percent of the result that the Tivat airport had in March for it so far in the record year of 2019, when traffic in the same month amounted to 26.863 passengers.

On the runway next to the Tivat Bay, 329 aircraft take-off and landing operations were recorded last month, which is two percent more than in the same month last year, i.e. 13 percent less than in March of the record year 2019.

In the first quarter of this year, Tivat Airport achieved a total traffic of 50.785 passengers on 887 aircraft rotations. The number of passengers increased by 1,6 percent compared to the first three months of 2023, by how much the number of realized flights also increased compared to the comparable period last year.

By the way, the first quarter of the year is usually the least busy for Tivat airport, because at that time only three carriers operated regularly for this airport: Air Montenegro, Air Serbia and Turkish Airlines on regular flights to Belgrade and Istanbul.

From March 31, the so-called the summer IATA season, and with it the gradual introduction of a series of regular seasonal lines and charter traffic to Tivat, so the airport here is in the meantime connected to Tel Aviv, London, Izmir, Paris, Manchester, Vienna... and flights are in addition to Montenegrin, Serbian and Turkish national companies, in the meantime the British low-cost airlines Easy Jet and Jet2, the Israeli companies Sun D`or and Israir, the Austrian national carrier Austrian Airlines, and the French low-cost company Transavia were introduced.

Currently, an average of ten planes land at Tivat airport every day.
