More than three million euros, including VAT, will cost the work on the sports infrastructure of Kolašin, for which the Capital Projects Administration announced a tender a few days ago.
The main project includes four out of a total of 11 phases of construction of sports fields and other facilities, in the area next to the promenade next to Tara.
As written in the technical documentation, the first phase includes two courts each for basketball and volleyball with accompanying facilities, bleachers and a fence. Two tennis courts will be built within the second, an athletic track in the third, and the main soccer field in the fourth. The deadline for the completion of the works is 270 days from the introduction of the contractor to the work, and those interested in the execution of the works will submit bids by May 13.
The other seven phases of the complex next to Tara, the construction of which is planned later, include another football field, an amphitheater with a public toilet, an artificial lake, i.e. an ice rink, trim tracks and landscaping of the surrounding area...
The conceptual solution for the appearance of the Sports Zone was created by the "NRA Atelier" in 2020. All fields of the complex are intended for recreational and group training. The exception is the athletics stadium, which has a competitive character.
Vasilije Ivanović, the vice-president of the Municipality in charge of infrastructure projects, told "Vijesta" that by announcing the tender, the conditions are being met to finally begin the valorization of the space intended for sports and recreation. According to him, with the new infrastructure, Kolašin will also have the opportunity to stand out on the map of places ideal, among other things, for sports tourism. He recalled that last year, before the start of the Inter-Municipal Youth Sports Games (MOSI), the local administration received the first courts that are municipal property.
"And with this tender, i.e. funds allocated for Kolašin's sports infrastructure, the Government shows its intention to properly invest in Kolašin and those areas that can be a perspective for the further development of the city. I would like to remind you that a tender has been announced for the road on Breza, and that major investments in urban and rural road infrastructure are ahead," he explained.
The total area of the plot on which the sports area will be built is 77.305 square meters, while there will be about 7.730 square meters under the buildings.
No one responded to last year's tender of the Municipality for the first and second phase of the construction of facilities within the sports zone. At that time, it was planned to release two phases first, which, according to the projections at the time, would cost around 1,69 million euros.
