In the first quarter of this year, the company Plantaže achieved a negative business result, while sales revenues amounted to 5,25 million euros and were 21 percent higher than in the same period last year, according to the data of the quarterly business balance sheet.
From Plantaž, they said that in the first quarter of the company's operations, there were dominant outflows compared to inflows and income from sales, so the business result was negative.
"The business result is negative in the amount of -1,27 million euros. However, it is important to note that this result, although negative, is the best in the last few years", the company stated.
As the company added, the three-month balance of operations, which was adopted by the Board of Directors of Plantaž, reflects the continuation of positive trends through significant revenue growth, strengthening of the company's operational profitability and continuous management efforts towards business stabilization.
In the first quarter, the company achieved a total income of 5,25 million euros, which is 21 percent compared to the comparable period last year.
"The achieved result, at the same time, exceeds the projections by 16 percent, which makes it the best result in the last ten years," the announcement states.
In all markets, overall, revenues from sales of bottled products are 42 percent higher than revenues from the previous year, for the same period.
Most of the revenue from the sale of bottled products in the first quarter was generated by the Montenegrin market, while significant growth was achieved in other foreign markets as well.
Plantaž announced that the total expenses for the first three months amount to 6,8 million euros, which is 17 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year, and that as such they reflect a larger volume of business and investment in production.
"The observed period, for the agricultural sector, represents a period of high production investments, where costs are much higher than income, especially in the first half of the year, bearing in mind that only with the beginning of the summer tourist season, incomes begin to grow at a faster rate than costs," they added. companies.
In the structure of total expenditures, for this period, labor costs dominate, as well as material and energy costs.
"Compared to 2023, total labor costs are higher by 22 percent, but are still lower compared to 2019, as a result of securing a larger number of seasonal workers and faster dynamics of performing the necessary agrotechnical operations, given that the vegetation, this year , started earlier", the announcement states.
It is added that all agrotechnical operations were carried out in a timely manner during the first quarter, in accordance with the scheduled agricultural deadlines, which is of essential importance for creating the necessary preconditions for a successful production year.
Plantaž said that the cost of gross wages was higher compared to the previous year because the point value was lower in 2023.
As they added, the positive EBITDA of almost 16 thousand euros indicates the basic operational profitability of the company, which is crucial for further stabilization and improvement of business.
The management of Plantaž, as they said, will continue to strengthen the company's position on the market and make efforts that will ensure the stabilization and further improvement of the business.
