The Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) announced that the citizens, participants of the Solari project, in addition to the benefits covered by the installation of solar power plants, also achieved a certain financial profit.

"In fact, the cross-section of the situation for the previous year, done in April, showed that as many as 1.909 households and economic entities that installed photovoltaic systems on the roofs of their buildings, through the Solari 3000+/500+ project, produced more than they consumed electricity of energy", the announcement states.

EPCG, as they said, will pay them EUR 269.528,84 on that basis, or EUR 141,19 per user.

"Taking into account that the mentioned consumers, before the installation of solar power plants, annually paid obligations based on the consumed electricity in the total amount of 1.418.783,09 euros, i.e. each of them an average of 743,21 euros, we come to the fact that now produced a total of 1.688.311,93 euros or an average of 884,40 euros individually, on an annual basis," it added.

EPCG says that the Solari 3000+/500+ project is one of the most significant investments in the energy sector of Montenegro in the last 40 years, which has provided numerous benefits not only to EPCG, but also to users of solar panels.
