The Montenegrin Congress Bureau within the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce, presents the offer of destinations for business trips at the IMEX 2024 fair, which takes place from 14-16. May, in Frankfurt.
Director of the Montenegrin Congress Bureau Aleksandra Maksimović, said that the Montenegrin Convention Bureau (MCB) is dedicated to strengthening the capacities for the development of business tourism and promoting Montenegro as an attractive destination for the organization of various business events, such as conferences, congresses, business meetings, motivational (incentive) trips and others .

"Together with the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, members of the MCB, representatives of travel agencies, hotels with conference facilities and the local tourist organization of Budva, this year we are also participating in one of the largest specialized congress fairs in Europe, the IMEX fair in Frankfurt, which represents an opportunity to meet professional event organizers (hosted buyers) from all over the world and further positioning of the destination on the map of business tourism. Considering the large number of meetings and group presentations held at our stand, it is noticeable that the demand is increasing and that Montenegro is becoming more and more popular, so we expect that participation in the fair will result in a greater number of business events in our country, in the coming period", said Maksimović.
In addition to a large number of individual meetings, representatives of the NTO of Montenegro also held presentations for groups of agents from the USA, Canada, Latin America and Germany.

Luka Bulatović, deputy president of the Tourism and Hospitality Association Board of the Chamber of Commerce and owner of Explorer doo, said that the Chamber of Commerce, together with the NTO, gathered at IMEX tourism entrepreneurs, agencies and hoteliers who specialize in MICE tourism.
"The fair was well attended by the tourism industry and this year it is performing with incentives, thanks to the subsidy of the Chamber of Commerce in the amount of 15.000 euros, which reduced the costs of all Montenegrin tourism entrepreneurs who showed interest in participating at IMEX. The crowd at our stand shows the great interest of the fair participants in our destination. The success of the offer, which we will market this year, as well as the results we will achieve, will be most influenced by the air availability of the destination," Bulatović pointed out.
During her stay in Frankfurt, MCB Director Aleksandra Maksimović participated in the 2nd Global Forum of National Convention Bureaus, which was organized by the Strategic Alliance of National Convention Bureaus of Europe SANCBE, in cooperation with global industry leaders: ICCA, IMEX and PCMA. On this occasion, the inaugural conference on the sustainability of the global business events industry, organized by PCMA and SANCBE, was announced. Convention 4 Climate, which will be held in Barcelona on 2-3. October this year, with the aim of encouraging accountability, harnessing the power of technology and providing transformative solutions to the ongoing challenges of climate change.

At the stand of the Montenegrin Congress Bureau NTO CG, the offer was presented by the local tourist organization Budva, hotel groups Montenegro Stars and Beppler&Jacobson Montenegro, hotels Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort, Nikki Beach Resort & SPA Montenegro, Voco Podgorica, as well as travel agencies Apolotours, Explorer, Meridian and Travel Twitch.
The IMEX trade fair in Frankfurt, which is being held for the 22nd time, brought together over 3800 global business event organizers and more than 2900 exhibitors, convention tourism service providers from around the world, including national and regional convention bureaus, hotel groups, venues for special events, cruise companies, airlines, spa resorts, etc.
