The board of directors of the Hotel Group "Budvanska rivijera" AD Budva at today's 19th session chose the reconstruction of the "Mogren" hotel, opposite the Old Town, by raising the hotel to the level of four stars, for the direction of further development of its business.
This was announced by this largest Montenegrin hotel company, majority owned by the state of Montenegro.
The session was chaired by the president of the Board of Directors, Mijomir Pejović.
"The expected start of the reconstruction of the 'Mogren' hotel is October 1, 2024. In order for the planned reconstruction works to start on time, the process of publishing and implementing tenders and selecting contractors will be carried out during the coming summer. The chosen direction of development will improve the accommodation capacities of the 'Mogren' hotel and put the same, after several years, into full operation, with management by the Budva Riviera," the Hotel Group states.
The reconstruction of the 'Mogren' hotel, as they add, will create a year-round variety of content, increase the number of middle and high-paying guests from the targeted broadcast markets, while ultimately increasing the Company's revenue side and improving the tourism product of the city of Budva.
"We would like to remind you that for many years the hotel 'Mogren' has only been generating non-boarding income through the operation of the City Tavern. For this reason, with today's decision, the existing management of the Company, after considering the analysis of possible directions for the development of the hotel 'Mogren', carried out last year, has decided that the hotel "Mogren" gives the citizens of Budva and its visitors a new place for a pleasant stay in the exclusive contact zone of the Old Town cooperation in the direction of improving tourism promotion and intensifying the promotional campaign on broadcast markets, for mutual benefit," the announcement concludes.
