The multidisciplinary commission reviewed the report on the environmental impact assessment for the stone quarry on the Milos Karst and prepared comments, but did not submit them to the Environmental Protection Agency. In that way, the procedure was violated, which is why the appeal was filed.
This is what this Agency said in response to the text "Elaborat za Milošev krš returned to repair", which "News" published on May 16.
The Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North recently annulled the decision of the Agency, which did not give consent to the study for the quarry in Cetinje, so it was ordered to decide on that request again. The decision was made after an appeal was filed by the concessionaire "Inženjering put".
The Agency stated that in the process, the Commission made a decision based on comments regarding the expansion and use of the road and the relocation of transmission lines.
"During the procedure, the Commission looked at the complete content of the study and prepared comments on it, but did not submit them to the Environmental Protection Agency. In this way, the procedure to which the complaint referred was violated. Considering all these facts, the second-level authority - the Ministry of Tourism, of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North issued a decision to annul the decision and sent the case back for re-decision," the Agency stated.
They explained that the Agency informed all interested parties about the outcome of the appeal and immediately initiated the procedure.
"In the repeated procedure, the commission will prepare complete comments on the basis of which the decision will be made. We emphasize that the procedure in question is conducted in accordance with positive legal regulations," the Agency pointed out.
