Miloš Rajković, Acting Director of the Directorate for Forestry and Hunting Management, suspended Milonja Golubović, a forest guard in the Berane Sub-Division, until the end of the disciplinary proceedings for serious breach of official duty.
Yesterday, surveillance cameras of the "Jelovica" farm unit recorded Golubović's personal cargo vehicle during illegal activities, during the transportation of illegally cut timber.
All this happened while, according to the Administration, the seizure of illegal materials was organized in department 12 in Jelovica and its storage in a safe location.
"The case, along with the collected evidence, was forwarded to the competent authorities for further action, and the acting director, following an urgent procedure, today issued a decision on the suspension of the forest guard Golubović, pending the completion of the disciplinary proceedings. On this occasion, Rajković pointed out that the secretly installed cameras in the forests are an excellent move that gives excellent results, as well as that the Administration must be a healthy collective consisting exclusively of responsible and professional workers, with a common goal - which is the protection of Montenegrin forests," the announcement states.
