The new cycle of training for obtaining the accountant's certificate in the public sector has opened, and today the certificates were ceremoniously presented to the previous successful participants, the Ministry of Finance announced.
The Minister of Finance, Novica Vuković, welcomed the third national training of accountants in the public sector and the ceremonial presentation of certificates to the participants of the previous training cycle.
He thanked for the great interest in that program, which was recognized by the Ministry of Finance as one of the key pillars of the accounting reform.
"Our goal is to contribute to the building of accounting capacities in a sustainable way, and your contribution is equally important here. Also, it is important that you understand this training as a way of personal and professional development and empowerment of accountants in the public sector, in order to work together to raise awareness about the importance of the accounting profession," said Vuković.
He also thanked his colleagues from the Human Resources Administration for their support in the process of implementing the training, as well as the lecturers and colleagues from the examination committee of the Ministry of Finance for their dedication in their work so far.
Vuković wished an equally successful third generation of certified accountants.
He said that the training is demanding, but that it will provide a strong foundation in the knowledge of international accounting standards for the public sector and national budget accounting, which will later facilitate the application of the new accounting regulations.
The knowledge and skills acquired during this training will be a strong support in future work, and the experience imparted by fellow lecturers will be invaluable for overcoming future challenges.
Congratulating the colleagues who passed the exam for the title of accountant in the public sector and who were presented with certificates today, Vuković wished them successful and happy work.
