Part of the former and current employees of the hotel company "Vektra Boka", 120 of them, are demanding that the company's debts to them be settled through the sale of part of the company's assets.
This is written in the statement delivered to "Vijesta", a former employee and union member of this company Vojin Miljanic. HTP "Boku" was privatized in December 2007 by the company "Vektra Montenegro" Dragan Brković, and later the name of the company was changed to "Vektra Boka". This company has been under the reorganization measures of the Commercial Court since February 2017, its account has been blocked continuously since September 2019.
"The current workers of Vektra Boka are currently owed 30 personal incomes, part of the fourth installment according to the reorganization plan and ten years of service. Former workers are owed part of the fourth installment and about 30 months of contributions. By selling the assets, they could be collected in full and part of the workers would be entitled to a regular or early pension. Some of the current workers would charge 15, 20 or 30 thousand euros each, these are huge funds for us and solve our existence", the announcement reads.
In the employee's letter, it is also emphasized that they distance themselves from the statements and work of the Association of former employees "Vektra Boke", which they claim has the support of about 15 former employees. It also says that the Association's demands are illegitimate and that they are calling on the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to investigate their allegations about the possible sale of "Vektra Boka" shares, but also to investigate who is advising them and pushing against the interests of other employees.
President of the Association of former workers Đorđe Rajak announced that they will gather today in front of the building of SDT and the Government, in order to support those institutions for a faster solution to the problem of "Vektra Boka" and the termination of the recent sales contract.
At the beginning of April, the company "Ellena group" from Herceg Novi became the owner of 33 percent of shares in "Vektra Boka", for which it paid 350 thousand euros. Those shares were previously seized from the company "Vektra Investments" due to debt, and the sale on the stock exchange was organized through an auction. The Iva company announced that it plans to open Hotel Plaža in the coming period.
