Today, at the proposal of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, the Government adopted the Platform for Rescue and Restructuring of the "Simo Milošević" Institute, in order to preserve and improve the unique and one of the most important health and tourism resources of Montenegro.

The Ministry said that the minority shareholders are now on the move - whether they will join the fight for the salvation and the new golden age of the Institute.

"The plan envisages a number of measures that will enable the modernization and improvement of the work of the Institute, which will strengthen its position as a renowned center for rehabilitation and medical tourism. The plan, among other things, aims to stabilize the Institute's operations, with a special emphasis on preserving jobs, and improving the quality of services provided by the Institute," the announcement states.

Given that the support of minority shareholders is essential for the adoption and implementation of the Plan, the Ministry called on all shareholders to recognize the importance of joint efforts and cooperation at this critical moment.

"In addition to the medical and rehabilitative aspects, which are of immeasurable importance for our citizens, the Institute also plays a significant role in attracting foreign tourists and diversifying the tourist offer of Montenegro, which directly contributes to the economic growth and development of the country," said the relevant minister, Janko Odović.

The Ministry reminded that the 44th Government, from the very beginning of its mandate, is making the greatest efforts in order to create the conditions for the continuation of the work of the Institute.

"Taking into account the difficult, almost hopeless situation in which the Institute and all employees were brought, the first step in that direction was the provision of emergency aid in the amount of 1,14 million euros to the Union, as a form of support for the employees," the announcement specifies.

The Ministry is convinced that the proposed Platform will bring long-term stability and prosperity to the Institute, which will be to the satisfaction of all its users and employees.

"On that line, the Government remains committed to the improvement and preservation of the country's key health and tourism resources, believing that the Rescue Plan will be recognized as a significant step towards a better future for all citizens," the announcement concludes.
