The Tax Administration announced that the five-month gross revenue collection of 702,8 million euros was achieved, which, as they said, is 138,4 million euros or 24,5 percent more than in the same period last year.
"Accomplished collection from January to the end of May of this year exceeded the planned revenues by 95 million euros or 15,6 percent. The trend of collection growth continues, and the most significant was recorded in corporate income tax, value added tax and contributions." it is written in the announcement.
According to them, 186 million euros were collected for the basic income tax of ordinary persons, "that is, 58,5 million euros or 46 percent more than in five months of the previous year and 47,6 million euros or 34,4 percent more than planned."
"VAT collection amounted to EUR 170,3 million, which is EUR 30 million or 21 percent more compared to the same period last year, while exceeding the revenue plan by EUR 7,3 million or 4,5 percent. Collection of contributions for five months of this year, it amounted to 226,8 million euros, which is 25,8 million euros or 13 percent more than the collection in the same period last year, and 8 percent more than the planned revenues," it added.
The Tax Administration emphasized that they are committed to strengthening proactive communication, "a service approach to taxpayers and directs action to the uniform application of regulations, for the benefit of citizens and the state."
