The president of the Association of Managers (AMM), Budimir Raičković, participated in the General Assembly of the European Confederation of Managers (CEC), where strong support for Montenegro's efforts for membership in the European Union (EU) was highlighted.
The General Assembly, which was held in Copenhagen, elected Maxime Legrand from France as president, and Torkild Justesen from Denmark as general secretary.
By the decision of the CEC, AMM received two seats in the Administrative Council.
CEC was formed in 1951 by the French, German and Italian Confederation of Managers and Executives.
"Considering that this organization represents a strong and influential voice of over a million European managers, it is especially clear how much respect the AMM has with its position in the Administrative Council as the Montenegrin umbrella leadership and management organization," the AMM press release states.
At the initiative of Raičković, the General Assembly of the CEC reviewed the current efforts and results of Montenegro's full membership in the EU, as well as the importance of that accession for the business community.
"On that occasion, the highest authority of this organization welcomed the achieved results of Montenegro and expressed its full and undivided support for Montenegrin colleagues and their country on the accelerated path towards the fulfillment of that goal," the statement added.
The second day of work, among other things, was dedicated to the topics of leadership, artificial intelligence, green and digital transition.
Also, one of the focus topics was the upcoming elections for the European Parliament, as well as expectations from the future composition of the European Commission.
The General Assembly was hosted by the Danish Association of Ice Cream Shop Managers.
