The Directorate for the Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds has formed an expert commission, which in the coming period will seriously and thoroughly deal with disputed articles of the Law on Forests and give its suggestions.
After the meeting of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Vladimir Joković, with the representatives of the Trade Union of Employees in the Administration, on the subject of the proposal of the new Law on Forests, the representative trade union organizations immediately committed themselves responsibly to the activities agreed with the Minister.
"Based on the agreement from the meeting with the minister, the acting director of the Administration, Miloš Rajković, formed a Commission made up of the professional staff of the Administration of various profiles and representatives of the Trade Union, which in the coming period will deal seriously and in detail with the controversial articles of the Law on Forests and give their suggestions ", it is stated in the press release of the trade union organizations.
The commission's task is to prepare a report on all activities and proposals submitted by the employees of the Administration to the Ministry in the process of amending the Forestry Act.
"These are numerous suggestions, proposals and remarks highlighted at public hearings, as well as written proposals submitted to the Ministry for the purpose of preparing a comprehensive report, which have been completely ignored until now," the announcement states.
The goal, as they explained, is to point out the shortcomings of the current provisions of the Law on Forests, which is still in force, as well as to propose a new law from the profession, which would fully correspond to sustainable forest management.
At the same time, the Trade Union of employees in the Administration prepared the announced agreement between the Ministry and that labor organization, which will guarantee all the goals agreed at the meeting.
"The purpose of the agreement is to achieve adequate solutions on key issues important for the labor and legal status of employees, in connection with the adoption of the new Law on Forests, and with the aim of preserving Montenegrin forests," the announcement states.
They expect the agreement to be signed by the minister during this week.
