Better regional connectivity and the continuation of the construction of transport infrastructure projects with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) represents the path to further economic progress of Montenegro, said the President of the country, Jakov Milatović.
He received the members of the EBRD board of directors and introduced them to the current socio-political situation in the country, stressing that it is of the utmost importance for Montenegro to develop infrastructure according to high European standards in coordination with loans from European banks and EU grants.
In this sense, Milatović emphasized the importance of support and partnership with the EBRD, through favorable and transparent financing of future key infrastructure projects in Montenegro.
Milatović pointed to the contribution of the EBRD in terms of strengthening the competitiveness of our small and medium-sized enterprises and emphasized the importance of establishing a credit-guarantee fund as soon as possible with the support of the EBRD.
The interlocutors evaluated the cooperation between Montenegro and the EBRD as excellent and substantial, recalling the numerous joint projects that were implemented in our country in the previous period.
