Chinese companies are interested in the construction of the second section of the Bar-Boljara highway, it was announced during the meeting of the Ministers of Transport and Finance, Filip Radulović and Novica Vuković, with the general director of CRBC, Wang Lijun.
Radulović said that the pre-qualification tender for the Mateševo-Andrijevica section ends on June 23, and that the main tender is expected to be announced in September.
"I am happy that Chinese companies want to build the second section of the highway from Mateševo to Andrijevica. I am sure that in a transparent public procedure, which will be conducted according to the rules of the EBRD, we will get a contractor who will respond to the task," he said. Radulović.
Vuković stated that Montenegro needs investors such as CRBC.
"The biggest investment in our country that we had was the construction of the first section of the highway from Smokovac to Mateševo. Also, the agreement with the Chinese EXIM bank was extremely important to us," said Vuković.
In addition to companies from China, some European companies are also interested in the construction of the second section.
Lijun said that by building the first section from Smokovac to Mateševo, they gained great experience in Montenegro.
"Apart from road infrastructure projects, we are also ready for projects in other areas such as environmental protection," said Lijun.
Radulović and Vuković are staying in China, where they are participating in the 15th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum.
