The Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES) will initiate a stronger regional cooperation of transmission system operators in the region, in order to increase the security of supply to consumers in the region, announced the Minister of Energy and Mining, Saša Mujović.
He presented this idea at an informal meeting in Banja Luka, and the head of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkovski, supported it, in order to avoid disruptions in the electricity supply as much as possible, such as occurred on June 21.

"The basic idea, and at the same time an intermediate step until the countries of the region transpose European regulations and establish a coordinated calculation of cross-border capacities and security (CCR and SOR), is to enable the implementation of redispatching (coordinated change of power plant production in order to manage network congestion) as one of the remedial measures measure", the announcement states.
It is added that this would imply an even greater degree of regional coordination and cooperation in the field of security of the region's electricity supply.
