The representatives of trade union organizations in Montecargo will monitor the further development of the situation and will stand up for the achievement of the goals and interests of the company and its employees, with, as they said, a justified fear that the management's optimistic flights and promises are without coverage and short-term effects.
"In no way will we be silent observers when it comes to existentially important issues for us and our families, and the right and possibility to work and earn personal income is certainly one of those. Everyone who thinks so is on a common path with us in the fight for a successful, respectable and stable company, and Montecargo undeniably deserves such a status," states the reaction of all four trade unions in Montecargo.
The representatives of trade union organizations stuck to the earlier request delivered to the executive director Dušanka Dragojević and the president of the Board of Directors in Montecargo, Miroslav Brajović, more precisely the request for their resignations.
"After the texts and statements of Montecargo's management published in the media in the previous days, as employees and representatives of workers in that company, we have the need and obligation to express our position and opinion on the newly created situation. It is clear that we, as workers, want to believe in these optimistic and promising announcements, because our only goal from the very beginning is to provide us with the right to work and the opportunity to earn our personal income," the announcement states.
In the whole process, as they said, the role of all employees who, through their trade union representatives, drew the attention of both the public and the management itself and made it clear that they would not be silent observers of the shutdown of the company, should not and cannot be ignored or diminished.
"Even though Dragojević accused us of "working for the interests of others", probably judging on the basis of our own principles and working methods, we managed to present a realistic picture and situation in which Montecargo found itself in discussions with the relevant ministry, and therefore forced our management for an immediate reaction and to come out with a clear plan and further steps", said the union representatives.
According to them, although there are optimistic statements and promises about the renewed business, about the end of the crisis literally overnight, the question arises as to how the current management managed to solve all this practically in one day.
"It is symptomatic of how the geopolitical crisis, the bauxite mine workers' strikes, the problem of the lack of RGS wagons and containers for the transport of copper concentrate were quickly resolved, and the management knows best how many RGS wagons have been procured, and whether this is enough for smooth transportation", he says. in the announcement.
Also, the trade unionists are unclear about the promise and address of the director of the company's board, who proudly points out that "even if we do nothing, we will have salaries for three months", which, as they said, sounds like a serious strategic and business plan.
"Especially if we present the information that on June 24, the earnings for June amounted to 128 thousand euros, and for the payment of salaries and other expenses, that is, for a sustainable business for one month, 650 thousand to 700 thousand euros are needed. "Management has the possibility to deny and challenge this calculation with more precise data if they claim that this is not correct," the statement added.
They assessed that the assertion of the current administration that the data on the financial resources of this state-owned company is a business secret is also questionable, so the public and the employees were deprived of an accurate and realistic picture of the financial conditions and possibilities of this company.
