The company Ski resort Kolašin 1450 of Zoran Ćoć Bećirović bought the Marić House in Kolašin for 85.000 euros, at a public auction on May 27 of this year.
According to the documentation provided to "Vijesta" from the Regional Unit of the Real Estate Administration, based on the request for free access to information, the conclusion on the handover of the real estate was made on May 30 of this year, and the new owner of one of the oldest houses in Kolašin submitted a request for registration of ownership rights. over that object.
From the documentation of the Real Estate Administration, it can be seen that a mortgage of EUR 640.000 was registered on the House of Marić in favor of the creditor "Holdco east", while the building was the property of the debtor, the company K Distribution from Podgorica.
This is the fourth time that the house, built at the very beginning of the last century in Boško Rašovića Street, which also survived the bombing during the Second World War, has changed hands. It was built, based on similar buildings in Trieste and Vienna, most likely in 1907, by the well-known merchant family Marić. After the war, it housed the District Court and the Public Prosecutor's Office. When it lost that purpose, the municipal authorities stopped caring about one of the symbols of the former town.
Almost a decade and a half ago, in a wave of mass, mostly problematic sales of municipal real estate, the local government got rid of those buildings as well. The new owner was businessman Nebojša Bošković, who bought it for 120.000 euros.
Due to business problems and conflicts with the law, Bošković did not start the reconstruction, and left the house to decay and creditors. A mortgage was registered on the building, and in the meantime the building was further deteriorating. From the local level, until two years ago, no intention was shown to take care of that facility.
The initiative for protection according to the Administration for the Protection of Cultural Property originated at the end of the mandate of the former Kolasin government. The municipality then supported the proposal of the NGO Friends of Kolašin on the protection of the building, and an Elaborate on urgent temporary measures was drawn up, which would save the building from further deterioration.
However, the then President of the Municipality, Vladimir Martinović, complained last year about the decision of the Administration, which predicted the categorization of that object as a cultural property of local importance. Thus, the beginning of the process was stopped, so the building, which is a valuable part of the Kolašina cultural heritage, received its new owner without formal protection.
The portal, founded by Bećirović's company, recently promised to reconstruct the Marić House "in the style in which it was built".
In the book "Cultural heritage of Kolašina", art historian Draginja Kujović states that the building is characterized by "attics on the mass of the roof, and an accentuated and beautifully profiled roof cornice in stucco plaster". As she noted, "metal protective and decorative nets on the windows and doors, as well as white, terracotta and blue ceramic tiles arranged in geometric images in the entrance hall, are architectural elements given in the spirit of art nouveau."
From the documentation, which was provided to the News by the Real Estate Administration, it can be seen that Ski resort Kolašin 1450 became the owner of nearly 400 square meters, which is formally business space, in a building consisting of the ground floor, first floor and attic. According to the data of the Real Estate Administration, plot 676, on which the house is built, is municipal property.
