The Montenegrin Association of Employers (CUP) has never asked for "privileges in breaking the law" in the actions of the border police, this organization announced in response to the announcement of the Independent Police Union (NSP).
"The Montenegrin employers' association did not - nor would it ever ask for 'privileges in breaking the law', send an 'open and undisguised invitation to the police to break the law', nor was its response a 'miserable attempt to put additional pressure and intimidate police officers'... which, among other things, insinuates NSP because it would be, first of all, to the detriment of its credible and ethical principles-based functioning in order to realize its basic mission: improving the business environment so that all its citizens live better, including members of the police.
In order to properly inform the public, and primarily for the sake of protecting one's own integrity - not for the sake of polemics with the NSP - although his reaction is full of insinuations and disqualifications at the expense of the CUP, we precisely state part of the question of the journalist and the published position of the CUP, and regarding the remarks on the actions of the border police :
Question: ...Did any of the employers complain to you about this behavior of the Border Police? Is there an obligation for the Border Police to first point out irregularities and leave a deadline for correcting the irregularities before issuing a decision on the expulsion of workers...?
Answer: "...If these actions escalate, and there are no incident individual cases, we will request a special conversation with director Brđanin, so that the ACTION OF THE STATE BODIES WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW, but also aimed at helping employers, and not at it is only a measure of rigid punishment. The labor force problems are huge during the season and employers find it very difficult to solve these issues...", the CUP press release states.
They said that they leave the conclusion to the public's judgment, and that the CUP, which they say deals not only with the protection of the interests of the economy, but with the overall social well-being, uses the opportunity to call on all social actors - and the police, of course - to have a much greater degree of sensitivity when social interest in question.
"By clarifying and accurately quoting our position, the need for additional reactions ceases," the announcement concludes.
