During the first 15 days of enhanced inspection, the inspectors of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs (UIP) performed a total of 1.817 inspections in six coastal municipalities during which 1.416 irregularities were found and fines totaling EUR 910.260 were imposed.
The UIP said that the large number of inspections and the presence of inspectors in the peripheral parts of the municipalities, including national parks, tourist centers in the north, rafting destinations, is the result of the dedicated work of the inspectors, as well as logistical support, which is essential to cover as much of the terrain as possible with personnel capacities that are available at this moment.
"According to the principle of prevention, statistical data show that in over 20 percent of cases, inspectors acted preventively. During the reporting period, a total of 42 facilities were closed, of which seven facilities were closed due to operation without a trade report, and the remaining 35 due to work on Sundays and public holidays." they said from the Administration.
As they explained, the largest number of facilities were closed in Herceg Novi, due to work on Sundays and public holidays...
"However, the overall situation on the ground shows that the provisions of the Law on Internal Trade regarding the non-working week and work during public holidays were not respected in the period behind us, and we appeal to all economic entities to comply with positive legal regulations."
During the inspection of the bathing areas, the tourist inspectors issued seven decisions prohibiting the performance of activities, while during the inspections of hospitality facilities, they issued one decision prohibiting the performance of activities by sealing.
"We remind the citizens that during the weekend, during the increased inspection supervision, the officers of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs will be on duty, and we hereby invite them to report irregularities by calling the free call center at 080/555-555 or by sending an email to the email address: gov.me", the UIP concluded.
