Miloš Konatar, head of the parliamentary group of the Citizens' Movement URA, said that at the moment there is a majority in favor of the adoption of the Law on the Housing Fund for All.
"During the discussions, the law was clearly supported by members of the parliamentary majority from the Democrats' parliamentary group, as well as opposition members from the DPS, SD, Bosniak Party, Special Members' Club, as well as from the National Minorities Club where HGI and DUA are members. it remains until the vote itself, it will be a big victory for the 40.000 families in Montenegro who have not resolved the housing issue. are the Europe Now Movement and the New Serbian Democracy, which is perhaps logical in a way," Konatar said.
He added that the adoption of the Law would be just and fair to all those people who in previous decades were victims of political and economic transition and to all those who worked in the private sector who could not apply to banks for housing loans.
"40.000 households and over 100.000 citizens do not have their own apartment today, and if the average price per square meter of an apartment is 1800 euros, how can a young married couple, a pensioner, a single parent with one salary get their own apartment if the state does not help them. We are sending a message to all those people if we do not adopt this law, when we know perfectly well that they cannot provide a roof over their heads at current market prices," Konatar said.
He pointed out that it is a privilege to be a member of the Parliament of Montenegro and that in this way each of the 81 members of the parliament has the opportunity to do a lot for more than 600.000 citizens, that is, in this particular case, for more than 40.000 families, that is, for more than 100.000 citizens.
Konatar called on all members of parliament to use the privilege they have and for the few in the Assembly to do a lot for the large number of citizens who have not solved the housing issue.
