At the meeting of the management of the Tax Administration (TA) and the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM), plans were presented for the reform of the Tax Administration with the aim of improving the efficiency and transparency of work, the TA announced.
The meeting was attended by Acting Director of PU Sava Laketić and Mijat Ilinčić, Acting Assistant Director in the Sector for Large Taxpayers of PU, as well as AMM President Budimir Raičković, AMM Assembly President Slavoljub Popadić and Executive Director Anđela Radosavović.
"The importance of modernization and digitization of the process was emphasized in order to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and speed up procedures. In this context, AMM emphasized the need to introduce as many online services as possible, especially when it comes to registration and deregistration of employees, tax and other declarations and certificates that it issues administration, which would greatly facilitate business operations. The need for additional staffing of the Tax Administration was discussed in order to provide a high level of services and an appropriate response to the demands of the business community. AMM and PU will cooperate on training and development programs for employees their competences and skills were improved," the announcement reads.
"The need for a better and regular exchange of information between the Tax Administration and the business sector, including regular meetings and consultations, was emphasized. The interlocutors agreed that the work of the Tax Administration directly affects the business environment of Montenegro, which is why its efficiency and transparency are necessary, which is the basis for building a more favorable business environment, which attracts domestic and foreign investors," it added.
"AMM praised the steps taken by the Tax Administration in terms of VAT refunds. The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere, and it was agreed that such meetings will continue in the future in order to ensure continuous cooperation and dialogue between the Tax Administration and the Association of Managers of Montenegro ", the announcement concludes.
