The employees of Željezara will very soon feel the benefits of the contract signed today by Elektroprivreda Crne Gore with the Swiss company "8B Capital", on the lease of the production facilities of Nikšić Željezara, Forge and Steelworks, said Uglješa Urošević, MP for the Movement Europe Now (PES).
"I am sure that within the stipulated period we will witness significant business results and that this will be the driving force for the progress of the Electric Power Industry and the economy of our country. Certain processes will continue to function in the Ironworks, such as the construction of structures, and it is possible to start quickly with with the project of energy efficiency, locksmithing, the production of concrete pillars is also planned," the announcement states.
Urošević said that it is important to emphasize that the contract obliges the company "8B Capital" to invest 7,75 million euros in starting production within a year from the date of signing, while in five years it will invest 36,85 million euros.
"The Ironworks was a symbol of Nikšić and will remain so, that's why the people of Nikšić and the whole of Montenegro expect this to be a successful and long-term cooperation with a lot of optimism," he concluded.
