Association of tenants "Moj dom": The parliamentary majority is completely insensitive to the problems of tenants

The Association of Tenants of Montenegro "Moj dom" expressed deep disappointment and indignation due to the refusal of the parliamentary majority to support the "Apartment for All" Law. This law represented hope for many citizens of Montenegro who are facing serious housing problems, but unfortunately, political interests and compromises once again prevailed over the needs and rights of citizens, the association announced.

"The decision not to support this law shows the complete insensitivity of the Parliamentary majority to the problems faced by a large number of tenants in our country. We remind the deputies that tenants struggle daily with high rental costs, poor quality housing, unclear legal regulations and lack of support in resolving disputes with landlords. These problems are not just statistical data; they represent the real lives and destinies of our citizens," states the association's press release.

They point out that the refusal to vote on the "Housing for All" Law sends a clear message that political games and interests are more important than the welfare of citizens.

"We call on all MPs to reconsider their priorities and to turn to the real problems that affect our society. We remind them of the responsibility they have towards all citizens, especially towards those who are the most vulnerable and marginalized," it added.

The tenant association "Moj dom" said that they will not give up the fight for tenant rights and will continue to advocate for better housing policies and fairer living conditions for all citizens of Montenegro.

"We expect the Parliament to show more listening to the needs of its citizens in the future and to take concrete steps towards solving this important issue. On behalf of all tenants, we appeal to the deputies to urgently return to the issue of housing rights and to reconsider the 'Housing for All' Law. Only through joint efforts and true dedication can we build a fairer and more solidary society," the announcement concludes.
