Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today that he believes that by December the average salary in Serbia will be 900 euros, and that next year it will reach 1.000 euros.
According to the Tanjug agency, he said at the press conference that he believes that people will be satisfied, but also that there will be those who will not be satisfied.
Speaking about average salaries in the region, he said that in Serbia the average was 855 euros, "which makes us the strongest in the region".
"In May, the average in Montenegro was 832 euros. The average salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 710 euros. In North Macedonia, 671, in Albania, 575. Moreover, if you want to look, in 2012 we were barely in third place and lagging behind by almost 50 percent compared to Montenegro, we were significantly behind Bosnia and Herzegovina and were only slightly ahead of North Macedonia. . And on this 855 euros, when you say five euros, to increase the salary by five percent, that's 43 euros," said Vučić.
He also pointed out that "in ten years we managed to get to the first place.
"And we intend to stay there," said Vučić.
