The Directorate for Inspection Affairs (UIP) imposed fines in the total amount of 2,02 million euros in the first month of intensified supervision.
"In the first month of increased inspection supervision in six coastal municipalities, UIP inspectors performed a total of 4,4 thousand inspections, during which 3,2 thousand irregularities were found and fines in the total amount of 2,02 million euros were imposed," they announced. from UIP.
Apart from the coast, which is currently the most visited, the inspectors tried to be present in national parks, tourist centers in the north, popular rafting destinations where a large number of visitors are recorded during the summer months, as well as in other municipalities.
"Statistical data show that during the month, inspectors acted in 779 cases by pointing out irregularities, which significantly contributed to compliance with the principle of prevention," the statement added.
