Monteput will propose to the Government of Montenegro an increase in the amount of subsidies to the residents of Crmnica, Šestan and Ostros for passing through the Sozina tunnel, which is already in the Government's conclusions, to 100.000 euros. Through the amendment of the Decision on the Budget, the municipality of Bar will increase the amount of subsidies by 100 percent, i.e. to the current 50.000 euros, and allocate as much money, increasing the annual subsidy fund to a total of 200.000 euros.
This is written in the joint announcement of the local administration of Bar and the state company Monteput after the meeting that was held today in the Municipality of Bar.
According to reports, the meeting was attended by the President of the Municipality, Dušan Raičević, Vice-President Tanje Spičanović and Secretary of the Secretariat for Local Self-Government of the Municipality of Bar, Svetlana Gažević, and Executive Director of Monteput, Milan Ljiljanić, Secretary Aida Čekić and Acting Director General of the Directorate for State Roads at the Ministry of Transport , Miroslav Mašić.
The dominant topic of the meeting was the situation related to the protests of the residents of Crmnica and the consideration of the possibilities for resolving requests related to subsidizing the passage of residents through the Sozin tunnel.
"The readiness has been expressed for Monteput to propose to the Government of Montenegro, which decides on the distribution of the profits of this Company, an increase in the amount of funds for subsidies to the residents of Crmnica, Šestan and Ostros for passing through Sozina, which is already in the conclusions of the Government, to 100.000 euros, and that The Municipality of Bar, through the amendment of the Decision on the Budget, should increase the amount of subsidies by 100 percent, i.e. allocate more money to the current 50.000 euros, which increases the annual subsidy fund to a total of 200.000 euros," they said.
They added that the meeting emphasized quality cooperation with the Council of the Local Community of Crmnica, which in previous years defined the criteria for exercising the right to subsidies, as well as support for consideration of the potential extension of the criteria for exercising the right to subsidized passage, but only in compliance with the law.
"Also, the willingness of the Municipality of Bar and Monteputa to communicate with the Crmnica Municipality Council in order to improve the living conditions of the population in the rural area in terms of improving local infrastructure and creating an encouraging environment for young people and families has been expressed. The criteria for exercising the right to subsidies will be prescribed by a special act councils of local communities, which will perform a control role during their distribution," the announcement states.
At the meeting, it was concluded that the goal of all parties is to resolve the current situation permanently and sustainably as soon as possible to the satisfaction of all citizens and the tourism industry.
