Abazović's government protected the Bolje sestre water source, and Spajić's is now endangering it again, said Ana Novaković Đurović, deputy of the Citizens' Movement URA.

"The Tehnoput company received approval for an environmental protection study for the construction of an asphalt base on the Cijevna River, contrary to the provisions of the Water Administration's Decision on sanitary zones for the protection of the Bolje sestre water source. I remind you that the 43rd Government sealed the previous Tehnoput facility near this location, while Milojko Spajić's government issues approvals for the same activities," she said in a statement sent to the media.

MP URA GP reminded that thanks to the decisive moves of the Government Dritan Abazović, in preventing illegal exploitation of gravel and building a dam on Morača, the Bolje sestre water source was recovered, so the Regional Water Supply today supplies more water per second than contracted and the supply of water to the Montenegrin coast is stable.

"In order for these positive trends to continue, further protection of water sources and investment in infrastructure is needed, not issuing permits for the construction of asphalt bases," added Novaković Đurović.

She welcomed the activities of the President of the Management Board of the Regional Waterworks, Zoran Lakušić, who, according to her, is making great efforts to preserve the sanitary protection zones of the Bolje sestre water source.

"The government is obliged to stop industrial and economic activities in these zones and relocate them to other locations, in order to preserve water resources," concluded Novaković Đurović.
