There is a significant increase in the number of British tourists in Montenegro, and further improvement of access to information about the tourist offer is needed, said Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić and the British Ambassador in Podgorica, Don McCann.
The meeting discussed current cooperation and the possibilities of improving bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
During the conversation, Kordić stressed the importance of tourism as one of the most important economic branches of our country and emphasized the need for stronger promotion of Montenegro as a unique tourist destination on the British market, with a special focus on the development of sustainable tourism and the preservation of natural resources.
She pointed out the importance of increasing the number of British tourists in Montenegro, especially through better connections between the two countries.
Congratulating Kordić on his new position, Meken said that she was satisfied with the significant increase in the number of British tourists who visited Montenegro in the past period.
She particularly emphasized the greater number of flights between the two countries, which contributed to the easier accessibility of Montenegro to British visitors.
McCann also pointed to the need for further improvement of access to information about the tourist offer and attractions of Montenegro for tourists from Great Britain, with a special emphasis on the northern region of the country.
Both sides agreed that such meetings are key to further improving cooperation in the field of tourism, where there is significant room for stronger joint action, especially in the field of sustainable tourism.
