The reconstruction of the regional road Čekanje-Čevo, the connection of the road Cetinje-Njeguši and the future road Cetinje-Čevo, will enable a safer, faster and more comfortable trip, as traffic will be moved from the city center of Cetinje, announced the Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević.
"...In other words, all road users who want to visit NP Lovćen, Njeguše, other tourist sites and make further journeys towards Boka Kotorska will use this road as a detour around Cetinje, which will reduce traffic congestion and increase the safety of all road users." , said Vukićević.
"With the completion of the planned construction of the road Čevo-Nikšić and the road Krstac-Kotor, the connection of the central and southern parts of the country will be established with the new road route Nikšić-Čevo-Cetinje-Neguši-Kotor, which will significantly relieve the road route Kotor-Budva-Cetinje-Podgorica, which is in the summer months, one of the busiest travel routes in the country," the relevant Ministry announced.
"Through this project, as well as the planned reconstruction of the road Donji Ulići-Rijeka Crnojevića, the Capital of Cetinje will get a completely reconstructed network of regional and main roads and therefore better connections with other parts of Montenegro, which is a prerequisite for the economic development of this region. I am using this opportunity to I appeal to all road users to respect the regulations and drive while rested, because traffic safety is the concern of each of us," it added.
The director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, said that the reconstruction of the two-kilometer road, in addition to the problems that followed the construction, was done with quality and fully respecting the standards and rules of the profession.
"The reconstruction of this section will significantly improve traffic safety, because the roadway has been widened, the slope of cuts and cuts have been protected, and equipment and vertical and horizontal signaling have been installed. Vuksanović announced that the mentioned works were carried out by the company AD 'Mehanizacija i programat' Nikšić, and the total value of the works was 2,8 million euros," the announcement concludes.
