Deputies in the Assembly did not give the green light to changes to the Law on State Property, because the necessary majority was not needed. Four MPs declared themselves abstentions, while there were 39 "for".
Members of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Dragan and Vladislav Bojović and Jelena Kljajević abstained, and the leader of that club, Milan Knežević, pointed out during the debate that he loves Montenegro the most, and that until he is convinced of the good intentions behind the proposed changes to the law, they will not receive the support of the DNP.
The ruling majority has 52 deputies, which means that, apart from the representatives of the DNP, nine more deputies did not vote for the changes to the Law on State Property.

A key amendment to the Law on State Property was requested by the deputy of the Europe Now Movement (PES), Vasilije Čarapić, according to which those who lease land for up to 90 years, that is, large investors on state land, would be allowed to sell the built objects later, if they want to stop work on it. place. The current law provided for this only for tourist complexes that are built on leased state land, and now those who invest in production, trade, transport, storage would also have this privilege.
The Law on the Development Bank was also adopted. This bank will be established by shutting down the Investment and Development Fund (IRF), and it will take over its capital.
The Assembly also adopted the Law on the Use of Energy from Renewable Sources, as well as accompanying amendments to the Law on Energy and Concessions.
The goal of the Law on the Use of Energy from Renewable Sources and amendments to other laws in this area is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and increase energy from renewable sources, align with EU initiatives on the green economy, and introduce a new system of market premiums for energy producers, which would should be more favorable for citizens.
