Nevenka Janković, who resigned from the position of executive director of Nikšić Željezara, proposed to the Board of Directors of EPCG Željezara to appoint Miloš Nikolić as the acting director of Željezara, who is currently assigned to the position of head of the Service for Traffic, Maintenance of Areas, Facilities and Greenery.
This is written in the request for dismissal that Janković submitted to the Board of Directors of EPCG Željezara.

"I am asking you, based on Article 12 of the Statute of "EPCG — Željezar Nikšić" DOO, to relieve me of the duties of Executive Director, because I am no longer able to perform the same.
In the publicly announced competition for the position of Executive Director of EPCG - Željezara Nikšić published on 06.12.2023. I applied out of the belief that with my knowledge, work experience in metallurgy and organizational skills, I can contribute to the factory moving on the path of progress and prosperity.
Before the Board of Directors of "EPCG — Željezara Nikšić" at that time, I presented a business plan proposal that earned the attention of all members of the Board of Directors, and I was elected to the position of Executive Director by a unanimous decision of all 7 members of the Board of Directors. A member of the Board of Directors from the ranks of the factory indicated also voted for my choice.
Before applying for the competition, I was informed partly from the media that the situation in the factory was difficult and that the factory was operating in 2023 with a negative result, but I had no idea that the company's accounts were blocked and that the company was in big losses and high level of indebtedness.
Given that I accepted a difficult and responsible job and with the intention of putting all my potential into the function of healing the factory and starting some business activities in it, I expected that the employees, who went on strike for months in 2022, would go on strike and demand that they be allowed to to work and to get a job, they can hardly wait to start concrete jobs where they will be able to be employed and from which they will be able to earn decent wages.
Instead, already on the first working day, I was greeted by letters from Sind Kata, which exuded the intention to do everything possible to present myself as an opponent of the employees, and someone who came with good intentions to help trace the path for the advancement of the Ironworks.
I thought it was just a bad start and a wrong initial perception of the head of the union and a few employees gathered around him and that it would stop. I expected that those bad habits and disastrous non-business practices would stop at Željezar. Unfortunately, both on the ninth of January and until today, I was showered with a bunch of letters in which the same story is repeated that the employees of the Ironworks want to work, but someone is allegedly bothering them and not providing them with enough work.
I did everything within the scope of my powers and capabilities, and in the conditions of blocked accounts and debts, to start a large number of business processes with the support of the Founder, from the production and assembly of steel structures for the construction of solar power plants, the production of concrete blocks, the renovation of roof coverings on production and auxiliary halls , adaptation of buildings for business premises, etc.
Instead of the employees of the factory being satisfied with the conditions created for them to work and earn wages that are among the highest in Montenegro, they found reasons to write letters every day, to overwhelm me with new demands, and all with with the aim of obstructing the development of any business process in the company.
Despite the above, I tried to work day in and day out to solve the accumulated problems and through hard work I showed some of the employees that only work can earn money and create conditions for their regular payment.
A part of the employees accepted to work and did a huge part of the work, and thanks to them we managed to complete a part of the planned work, achieve the profit and pay all the earnings for the first 7 months of the current year.
In parallel with the development of the mentioned business processes, I worked diligently to find an investor who would start steel production in the Ironworks, and together with EPCG, as the Founder, I succeeded in this. And just when I thought that better years were coming for Zeljezara, the same ones who have nothing else to do but to insult, curse, scream and get drunk tried to prevent the potential investor and his business partners from entering the factory with insults and threats.
The behavior of several union representatives during the visit of a potential investor Željezari 19.08. of the current year cast a stain on Željezara, Nikša and Montenegro and sent a message to all important actors in the Society to think about whether this behavior of a group of trade union criminals helps to create favorable business ambitions or makes our country an unfavorable business destination.
I know that in Željezara there are employees who want to work and who can be competitive on the labor market. I'm sure that reason will prevail in the factory very soon, and work will win over inaction.
I did everything to keep workers and not to leave workers without work. I managed to pay all the wages to the employees of Željezara.
With my professional attitude towards business obligations, I have not concluded a single contract harmful to Željezara.
I didn't steal a single cent from Željezara's account.
I didn't spend company money on business lunches, representation, or business trips.
The latest events were the last straw and as a true professional and as a person who inherits all moral and business codes I am requesting the Board of Directors to relieve me of my duties because I do not want to be the CEO of a company where Trade Unionists instead of being happy that he is coming the investor and that the jobs that he has been waiting for so long are being opened, they insult and threaten the investor with the intention of driving him away so that afterwards they would have an alibi for them to work, but there is no one to provide them with a job.
Finally, I request the Board of Directors to publicly announce all the expenses incurred by the Executive Director for the 7,5 months she was in the position of Executive Director.
I am leaving the post of Executive Director with a clean face and a clear conscience, and with solid evidence that I have paid the employees all their earnings, that no one was left without a job during my term, and that there was enough work for everyone who wanted to work. Those who made the scandal on 19.08/XNUMX will bear the responsibility for all future events in the factory. that year, on the occasion of the visit of renowned companies to Željezari.
I also hereby wish to inform you that I intend to use the annual leave from the current year starting from August 21.08.2024, XNUMX, and in connection with this I am contacting you for your consent.
In the end, I will be free to propose the appointment of my colleague Miloš Nikolić, a traffic engineer, who is currently assigned to the position of Head of the Service for Traffic, Maintenance of Areas, Facilities and Greenery, as acting Executive Director. I hope that colleague Nikolić, if he is appointed, will succeed in establishing better cooperation with the employees, which I, despite my great desire and effort, have not been able to do".
