Eight applications were received for the vacancy for the executive director of the national airline "ToMontenegro", while interviews with the candidates are expected in early September, the Ministry of Transport told "Vijesta" officially.
From this department, they could not announce the names of the candidates to "Vijesti", but they referred the editorial office to the board of directors of the state-owned national airline, from which no reply was received.
A "Vijesti" source informed about the implementation of the competition for this position, which lasted from July 24 to August 7, explained that among the applicants Muhammad Mihad in the Maldives, Daman Pretsing from India, Oliver Meier, from Serbia Zoran Hudak i Dejan Ćuković, including Biljana Knezevic, Vojislav Kaluđerović i Vukadin Stojanović.
The director's term of office lasts four years.
"The competition for the executive director ended on August 7, as we were informed, eight applications were received in a timely manner. As it is the competence of the Board of Directors of "ToMontenegro" to conduct interviews with candidates and make recommendations to the Ministry of Transport, the choice of the executive director will depend on the dynamics of the work of the board itself. What we have received as information is that the interviews with the candidates will take place at the beginning of September. The Board of Directors can provide you with information about the names of the candidates themselves," the department he manages said Maja Vukićević.
On July 11, the government replaced him Mark Anjur from the position of executive director of the company and issued a decision on the appointment of Stojanović as acting (acting) director.
At the same session, a resolution was passed on the dismissal of the members of the Board of Directors Tihomir Dragas, Mitar Susic, Aleksandra Gardašević Slavuljica, Vukadin Stojanović i Danilo Popovic, and a new Board of Directors was appointed in which he replaced Stojanović Giuseppe Renga, while the other four candidates, who were formally dismissed, were reappointed.
Anžur, who is presented as an expert from Slovenia, was appointed at the beginning of May last year as the executive director of "To Montenegro", but the employment contract stipulates that he can be replaced, among other things, by a unilateral decision of the company, without giving reasons. According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", he was dismissed due to poor work results.
