The Ministry of Transport will provide support in the establishment of passenger transport between Golubovci Airport and Podgorica in order to comply with legal obligations and provide citizens with the best possible service, Minister Maja Vukićević said.
Today, she held a meeting with the President of the Board of Directors of the Airport of Montenegro, Jelena Maraš, and the President of the Municipality of Zeta, Mihajlo Asanović, to discuss the inherited issue of passenger transportation between Golubovci Airport and the Capital City.
As announced by the Ministry of Transport, Vukićević expressed her willingness to be available to interested parties, in accordance with the competence of the department she manages, but she also informed them of the legal procedure that must be followed.
She pointed out that the regular passenger transport between Zeta and Podgorica is carried out in accordance with the law as long-distance transport, and that the carriers that carry out transport on this route have undergone the legally defined procedure for registration and verification of timetables.
"Regarding the transportation of passengers on the route from Golubovci Airport to Podgorica, the law provides the possibility to carry out shuttle transportation of passengers, limo service and car taxi transportation, as well as transportation within intercity transportation lines, where in addition to the required registered and certified timetables and licenses for intercity traffic, it was necessary for the Airports to provide a bus stop, which currently does not exist, and where the necessary changes to Daljinar would be made", stated the Ministry.
