The maritime line Budva - Dubrovnik will be open next season as well, announced the Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović.
He adds that, although this year the sailing started at the end of June, the interest of passengers showed that this project has a future.
The justification of that maritime connection with the neighboring member of the European Union, apart from tourism, is reflected in the significant relief of road traffic, the minister said.
"This line is a significant step towards strengthening tourism and connecting two attractive coastal cities, enabling tourists and the local population to have a fast, comfortable and reliable connection. I believe that the Budva-Dubrovnik sea line will also become a tourist brand by which our country will become recognized in the world, and I have no doubt that many tourists who come to Dubrovnik will use the opportunity to come and visit Budva, our coast and our country. I am happy that we will continue to contribute to the development of tourism and that we will make travel easier for all travelers," said Radulović.
The Croatian company Kompas launched the Budva - Dubrovnik sea line on June 29.
The ride on the catamaran Antonija, which this summer transported passengers from Montenegro to the Croatian capital of tourism, takes two hours.
