The Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Milun Zogović and the Minister of Transport of Montenegro, Maja Vukićević, met with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.
According to the statement sent from the Ministry of Transport, the members of the Government expressed their satisfaction that their first international official visit took place in Belgrade and that the meeting with Brnabić was arranged.
Zogović and Vukićević pointed out that cooperation with Serbia is extremely important for Montenegro and that they will try to make the relations between the two countries at a much better level in the coming years. Brnabić agreed and pointed out that Serbia attaches great importance to regional cooperation and that a developed and connected region means a better life for all its citizens.
"It is a pleasure that after the meeting in the Palace of Serbia, we also organized a meeting in the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, from where we jointly send a message about the importance of the announced, joint activities of the two governments," Vukićević announced.
Brnabić stressed that parliamentary diplomacy is one of her priorities, and that she will try to establish closer cooperation with the Parliament of Montenegro.
Zogović and Vukićević pointed out that the most important infrastructure projects for their country are the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway and the construction of a highway that would connect the Montenegrin coast and Podgorica with Belgrade in the future.
