The Tax Administration (TA) collected 1,1 billion euros in gross revenue in eight months, which is 190,3 million euros or 21 percent more compared to the same period last year.

The collection plan for the period from the beginning of January to the end of August was exceeded by 122,3 million euros or 13 percent.

"In August of the current year, the realized gross revenue collection amounted to 143,6 million euros, which is 17,7 million euros or 14 percent more compared to the same period last year, and 7,8 million euros or five percent more compared to the revenue plan for August," the announcement states.

As it is concluded, during the summer tourist season, the Tax Administration achieved significant budget revenues through activities aimed at increasing the degree of voluntariness in reporting and paying tax obligations and intensified inspection supervision.
