The Customs Administration announced that in the period from January 1 to August 31, they achieved a significant increase in the collection of customs revenues, which, as they state, contribute to the increase of total budget revenues.
Realized gross collection amounted to 853 million euros, which is 72 million euros, or one percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
They also point out that the revenue plan for the period January-August was exceeded by 21 million euros, or three percent.
They say that, according to the structure of collected revenues, there was an increase in revenue collection for all types of duties.
The most significant increase in income was realized on the basis of excise duty, which was collected in the amount of 246,8 million euros, which is 2023 million euros or 34,4 percent more than in the same period in 16.
On the basis of VAT on import, the gross collection was realized in the amount of 564,5 million euros, while the collection on the basis of customs amounted to 39,5 million euros. Collection of tax on coffee amounted to 1,8 million euros, and other revenues were collected in the amount of 102.000 euros.
The total realized collection of customs revenues for August 2024 amounted to 129.576.417,76 euros, which fulfilled the revenue collection plan for that month, which is 13.913.855,97 euros more than the same period last year, i.e. 12,03, XNUMX percent, the announcement concludes.
