According to the proposal of the Fiscal Strategy from 2027, in this year the income of the state from pension insurance contributions is planned to be 570 million euros, and the amount of 737 million euros is planned for the payment of all pensions, that is, there is a deficit of the PIO Fund of 167 million euros, which the state compensates from other budget revenues.
For the next year, due to the reduction of contributions for pensions from 20,5 to 10 percent of gross earnings, a lower income from contributions is expected in the amount of 394,3 million euros, ie 176 million less than this year.
For the payment of pensions in the next year, 777 million euros will be needed, that is, the deficit of the PIO Fund will increase from the current 167 million to 383 million euros.
In the year 2026, 426,4 million euros are expected from contributions to the PIO, and 817,2 million euros will be needed to pay pensions, which means that the deficit of the PIO Fund in that year will amount to 391 million euros.
In 2027, income from pension contributions is planned to be 448,8 million, and expenditure for pensions is 855,3 million, so the deficit will amount to 406,5 million euros.
So, the PIO Fund's deficit in the next three years will amount to one billion and 180 million euros, which is about 300 million more than the amount that it cost to build the section of the highway from Podgorica to Mateševo.
