Elektroprivreda (EPCG) remains committed to the development of sustainable energy solutions and cooperation with regional partners, in order to ensure a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy system, announced the president of the company's Board of Directors, Milutin Đukanović, at a round table in Bucharest.
"The principle in the construction of battery systems is clear: for every installed megawatt of solar energy, we want one megawatt-hour of batteries," Djukanovic said at a round table organized by South East Europe Green EPC on Wednesday.
The meeting brought together key players in the field of energy, including representatives of the relevant Romanian ministry, leaders of energy companies and regulatory agencies from the region, as well as reputable companies from Romania and France.
EPCG announced that key theses regarding a sustainable energy future were highlighted during the meeting, as well as that Đukanović emphasized the importance of a business philosophy that includes energy production in places where it is consumed, thereby reducing losses and increasing efficiency.
The round table discussed the linking of solar and hydro potential, which represents a step towards the diversification of energy sources and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. As part of the discussion, the implementation of battery electric storage systems, which are key to the stabilization of the electric power system and the integration of renewable sources, was particularly highlighted.
The round table was an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas among experts from different fields, with the aim of improving the energy transition in the region.
