The Civil Aviation Agency (ACV) announced that the agency's new leadership initiated procedures to improve operations and eliminate inconsistencies from the previous period, as indicated by the State Audit Institution (DRI) in its current report for 2023.
The competent Board of the SAI gave a positive opinion drawing attention to the CAA's annual financial report and a negative opinion on the regularity of operations for the year 2023.
"We note that the CAA was in a specific situation last year, considering that for one period it did not have a director, and then the institution was in a situation with an acting director. The current management of the Agency had an open, constructive and effective cooperation with the representatives of the SAI". it is stated in the announcement.
They say that the SAI was told at the final meeting that certain irregularities will be solved by organizational changes through the new Rulebook on the organization and systematization of workplaces, the goal of which is "just improved, more efficient and legal work, exclusively in the interest of this significant institution".
"Additionally, before the SAI audit - the management and the Council of the Agency already recognized that it was necessary to improve or adopt new procedures, as well as harmonize operations in certain areas. This resulted in the removal of certain preliminary findings of the SAI after we submitted objective evidence," it added.
They also state that the CAA, in accordance with the instructions of the SAI, will prepare an action plan for the elimination of the observed irregularities from the previous period and will regularly inform them about it.
