Prime Minister Milojko Spajić presented the project of Bulevar Vojislavljević in Podgorica, which stretches from the roundabout from Petrovački road to the Morača bridge near Nikšić and Cetinjska roads.
At the press conference, Spajić stated that this project has been waiting for a long time, and that it has not budged since 2017. He pointed out that it is one of the most congested roads in Podgorica.
The Director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, emphasized that tomorrow he will announce a tender for the construction of this boulevard, and that the deadline for its construction will be 18 months.
There were many problems, as he says, especially in the project documentation, while the estimated value of the works is 14,5 million euros.
"This will solve the numerous problems of traffic congestion in the capital, and economic activity will increase. Expropriation will be carried out, as you know, the corridor is narrow. I expect the Commission to give a fair price so that this road can be completed as soon as possible," said Vuksanović. .
He also emphasized that the reconstruction of the street would be done in two phases, i.e. the boulevard and the route from the Morača bridge to the intersection for the Nikšić-Cetinje road. He explained that the value of that second part of the project is about 10 million euros, that another bridge will be built at that place, and that he will insist that the existing bridge be reconstructed in parallel during the works on the boulevard.
Minister of Finance Novica Vuković stated that they are satisfied with the realization of the Capital Budget, that they have returned the trust of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), but also that the reconstruction projects of the roads Cetinje-Njeguši, second part, Čekanje-Čevo, Jasenovo were successfully completed in ten months. field-Vidrovan. He also emphasized that by the end of the year, the roads Lubnica-Jezerine, Rožaje-Špiljani, as well as the Nikšić-Kuside route will be completed.

When asked about the criminal charges filed by the Police Administration against the workers of the former Cetinje factory "Košuta" for stopping traffic on the Cetinje-Podgorica road, Spajić stated that they solved the problem of those workers, but that decades of failure to listen to these and similar requests led them to the situation of blocking roads.

"If you have a problem, you don't have to radicalize the protest. We will do our best to find a solution to the problem," Spajić said, adding that he understands the frustrations of both those who drive and those who block traffic.
Spajić was also asked about the status of the employees of the Directorate for Inspection Affairs, which is shutting down on October 1, after which it is expected that these employees will transfer to inspections within the ministries, but he did not precisely answer whether all of them will keep their jobs. He emphasized that citizens have so far had numerous complaints about the work of inspections, as well as that the application of the law currently differs from EU countries.
Spajić also pointed out that after the transfer of inspectors to departments, full compliance of the law with European legislation will be achieved.
Vuković was also asked about the large number of labor contracts recorded in August, and he said that the abuse of sick leave is still a significant problem, which is why these numbers are high. He also stated that part of the workers are hired for the maintenance of state buildings.
