Monteput signed a contract with the Podgorica company "Via Project" on the development of the conceptual solution for the high-speed road Podgorica - Tuzi (Božaj), with a length of 23 kilometers.
The value of the contract is 90.992 euros including VAT, while the deadline for the completion of the conceptual design is four months from the date of conclusion of the contract.
Monteput announced that the construction of this high-speed road will contribute to the improvement of the traffic connection between Podgorica and Tuzi, and to the connection of Montenegro with Albania. They add that it will enable a direct connection with the Bar-Boljare highway, which will improve regional connectivity and encourage economic cooperation and development.
"The goal of creating the technical documentation is a thorough examination of the various possibilities of the route in order to choose the best option for the section from the Smokovac interchange to the border crossing Božaj. The conceptual solution will serve to precisely determine the route, define the rank and technical characteristics of the road, as well as to include this corridor in the Spatial plan of Montenegro until 2040," the announcement states.
Monteput also states that public calls and tender procedures, which are in progress for the preparation of project documentation for several sections, represent the basis for the future construction of about 260 kilometers of highways and about 220 kilometers of expressways.
"These projects are defined through five development corridors established by the Government of Montenegro, which consist of 18 sections of highways and expressways," they conclude.
